1. What Planichapa is
Planichapa is an online tool that calculates flat patterns for sheet metal work: you enter the measurements, it returns the flat development, a 3D view and the files you need to produce the part. It is operated by FOOLABS, in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
Accounts are personal. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what is done through your account. If you suspect misuse, change the password and let us know at mail.foolabs@gmail.com.
You may close your account whenever you like. We may close accounts that breach these terms, giving notice wherever possible.
3. Free tier and full access
The free tier covers 20 calculations a month, with drawing, 3D view and PDF export, and no ads. The count resets on the first day of each month. Every submission counts, including re-running the same part with adjusted measurements.
Full access costs R$297,00 and lasts 12 months. It adds DXF export, calculations with no monthly limit, and saved history.
Prices may change, but never during a period already paid for: a change applies only to renewals and new subscriptions.
4. Payment
Full access is a one-off purchase giving twelve months of access. It is not a subscription: nothing is charged again at the end of the period, and there is nothing to cancel.
Outside Brazil, the sale is made by Paddle, acting as the seller of record: the invoice is theirs, their name is what appears on the buyer's statement, and they register and remit the sales tax due in the buyer's country. Card details are entered on Paddle's own page and never reach our servers.
In Brazil, payment is by Pix, directly, and is confirmed by hand -- usually the same working day.
Access opens as soon as the payment clears, and you receive an e-mail receipt with the amount, the currency and the date access runs to. If a payment clears and access does not open, write to mail.foolabs@gmail.com.
5. Right of withdrawal and refunds
Because the purchase is made away from a physical shop, article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Code gives you seven calendar days from payment confirmation to withdraw and receive a full refund, with no need to give a reason. Just write to mail.foolabs@gmail.com. Refunds are made to the original payment method within ten days.
After that period, the amount paid covers the contracted term. If the service is unavailable for a long, continuous period through our fault, contact us: we will extend the term or refund the corresponding share.
6. About the calculations — please read
Planichapa is a support tool. Results depend entirely on the measurements you enter, and the software knows nothing about your material, your bending process, your torch or your shop's tolerances.
Check the result before you cut material. The final check always belongs to whoever makes the part. For new, large or expensive parts, make a template in cardboard or scrap before cutting the real material.
6.1. Technical responsibility
Planichapa does not replace a qualified professional. Parts intended for pressure vessels, boilers, structures, industrial pipework or any application subject to a technical standard or to a registered statement of responsibility require checking and sign-off by a qualified professional. The design decision and the technical responsibility for the finished part rest with whoever designs and whoever makes it.
6.2. Professional and free use
Where you use Planichapa in the course of a trade or business, you are not an end consumer and the relationship is not a consumer one; the limits in 6.3 apply. On the free tier there is no payment and the service is provided gratuitously.
6.3. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and subject to 6.4:
- we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost contracts, lost production, delivery delays, contractual penalties or reputational harm arising from use of, or inability to use, the service;
- our total liability, on any basis and across all events taken together, is limited to the amount you actually paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim;
- we are not liable for a result produced from a measurement entered incorrectly, from a part used outside its purpose, or from material cut without the check set out in section 6.
6.4. What is not limited
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for wilful misconduct, for fraud, or in any case where the law does not permit limitation — including, in a consumer relationship, the guarantees of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, which remain intact.
6.5. Tell us about errors
If you find a result that looks wrong, tell us: calculation errors are fixed as a priority, and the report helps everyone. Complaints about the service should be raised as soon as they are noticed, within the applicable legal periods.
7. Availability
We work to keep the site up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. There may be maintenance windows, third-party failures or outages beyond our control.
8. Acceptable use
In using Planichapa, you agree not to:
- share your account with others or resell access;
- attempt to work around the free tier limits;
- automate requests at a volume that degrades the service;
- attempt to reach other users' data.
9. Ownership
The software, the name and the site content belong to Planichapa. The calculations you run are yours: the drawings, PDFs and DXF files you generate can be used freely in your work, including commercially.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in any meaningful way, we will give notice by e-mail or on the site in advance. Continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting the new version.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. The courts of the consumer's domicile are competent for any dispute, as provided by the Brazilian Consumer Code.
